Disorderly Conduct

Christine Samson-FitzHenry, 31, of Brattleboro, VT

On 09/07/17 at approximately 4:00 p.m. Brattleboro Police responded to a local business in The Town of Brattleboro for a female that was demonstrating aggressive behavior. Upon investigation it was determined that Christine Samson-FitzHenry of Brattleboro was causing a disturbance by throwing objects and screaming insults to an employee. Samson-FitzHenry was issued a trespass from the business and a citation for disorderly conduct. Samson-FitzHenry will appear in Windham Superior court on 10/24/17 to face the charge.

Sexual Assault, L&L with a child, Kidnapping, and Unlawful Restraint

Robert Havens, 48, of Brattleboro, VT

Robert Havens met the alleged child victim at a mental health facility in Brattleboro, VT in December of 2016. Robert Havens had been employed at this facility for the last six years. During and after the victim's stay at said mental health facility Robert Havens reportedly conducted a number of sexual acts with the victim. Robert Havens traveled twice to the victim's residence where he then transported said victim back to his apartment in Brattleboro.

Robert Havens was held on lack of $10,000 bail and will be appearing in the Superior Court of Vermont, Criminal Division, Windham Unit.

 

 

False Pretenses

Todd Maskell, 44, of Brattleboro, VT

On September 20, 2017 Brattleboro Police made contact with Todd Maskell (1/26/1973) on a traffic stop. Prior investigation revealed that Maskell had taken the debit card and made a withdrawal of a 46 year old male on Crescent Drive, without his permission. Maskell was issued a citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 10/31/2017 to answer to the charge.

Due to the continuing process of moving the police department to its new location, there will be no property return hours this week. We anticipate being able to begin regular property hours on 09/27/2017. 

Additionally, the drug drop box is still out of service. Nearby drop box locations include Hinsdale NH Police Department and the Windham County Sheriff’s Office.

Domestic Assault

Donald Wilkins, 38 of Brattleboro, VT

On 9/5/2017 at approximately 11:12 PM officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of a family dispute at a residence on Oak Street. Investigation showed that Donald Wilkins(38 of Brattleboro) assaulted a 47 year old female by grabbing her neck and throwing her. The female victim was transported to the hospital by Rescue Inc for non-life threatening injuries. Wilkins was arrested and held until deemed sober. Wilkins was issued conditions of release and a citation to appear at court on 9/6/17 to answer to the charge of Domestic Assault and Interfering with Access to Emergency Services.

Theft

Kimberly Morse, 30, of Brattleboro, VT

On 9/5/2017 at approximately 8:03 PM officers of the Brattleboro Police Department received a report of a theft that had occurred near a residence on Landmark Hill Drive. Investigation showed that Kimberly Morse (30 of Brattleboro) stole $200 from a 29 year old male. Morse was issued a citation to appear at court on 10/24/2017 to answer to the charge of Petit Larceny.

Criminal DLS

Jennifer Copp, 34, of Hartford, VT

On 9/4/17 Brattleboro Police were conducting routine traffic control in the area of Canal Street and South Main. Brattleboro Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated by Jennifer Copp.

A run of Copp's information revealed that her right to operate a motor vehicle had been suspended, and her suspension was criminal in nature.

Copp was placed under arrest, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where she was processed and released on a citation.

Copp will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 10/17/17 to answer her charge.

Family Disturbance

Sgt. Emery

On 09/03/17, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on South Street for a report of a 25 year old male that was out of control. Upon arrival, officers learned that the male may have obtained a firearm and fled the scene. Officers conducted a search of the area and later located the male on Western Avenue. The male was taken into custody for a mental health evaluation. No weapons were located. None of the officers nor the subject were injured during this incident.

 

Larceny from Person

Walter Swift, 56, of Brattleboro, VT

Nicholas Digioia, 36, of Brattleboro, VT

On 09/02/2017 Brattleboro Police observed a female crying on Birge Street. Investigation revealed that she had been robbed of her wallet while giving two males a ride. The males were later located and identified as Walter Swift and Nicholas Digioia. They were issued a citations to appear in court on 10/17/2017 for Larceny from a Person.

 

Unlawful Trespass

James Neveu, 56, of Brattleboro, VT

On 9/1/17 Brattleboro Police responded to the Whetstone Walkway for a report of a male, later identified as James Neveu, sleeping on the park bench.

When Officers arrived they located Neveu asleep on the bench, with empty alcohol containers around him.

Neveu was instructed to leave, and issued a citation for Unlawful Trespass. Neveu left, leaving his trash behind.

Neveu will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 10/17/17 to answer his charge.

POSSESSION OF COCAINE

Susan Yeates 53, of Brattleboro, VT

On September 1, 2017 Brattleboro Police were conducting a Search Warrant on a home located on Brook Street. During the search, Officers found small glassine baggies containing a Cocaine Base. Yeates was issued a Citation ordering her to appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 10/17/2017, to answer to the charge.

 

Unlawful Trespass into Occupied Dwelling

Colton Bratton, 25, Of Bellows Falls, VT

On 9/1/17 in the early morning hours, Brattleboro Police were called to a residence on Central Street for a report of an intoxicated male, later identified as Colton Bratton, who had climbed a ladder to an upstairs apartment, pushed in the A/C unit, and had made entrance into the apartment.

The resident did not want Bratton arrested, however wanted him out of the apartment and issued a No Trespass Order for the residence. Bratton was issued a No Trespass for the residence, and sent on his way.

Within half an hour the resident called Police again, stating that Bratton had climbed the ladder again, and was attempting to enter the residence via the A/C unit again. Upon arrival, Police searched the area, and eventually located Bratton. Bratton was subsequently placed under arrest for Unlawful Trespass of an Occupied Dwelling.

Bratton was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where he was held until sober, and released on Court Ordered Condition of Release.

Bratton will appear at Windham County Court on 10/17/17 to answer his charge.

 

 

VIOLATION OF COURT ORDERED CONDITIONS

Kathleen Fuquay, 45, of New Hampshire

On August 31, 2017 Brattleboro Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Kathleen Fuquay. Subsequent investigation revealed that she was in violation of her conditions of release. Fuquay was issued a Citation for Contempt of Court, and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on September 17 to face the charge.

 

DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED

Travis Allen, 32, of Bellows Falls, VT

On 8/30/17 while on patrol Brattleboro Police observed a vehicle with defective equipment . Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle on Elm Street.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that the operator, Travis Allen, was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and operating a motor vehicle while having a Criminally Suspended Driver's License.

Allen was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where he was cited to appear on 9/12/17 at the Windham County Superior Court to answer his charge.

 

 

Violation of Conditions

Kathleen Fuquay, 46, of Brattleboro, VT

On August 28 2017 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Akley Rd. for a reported conditions of release violation. Subsequent investigation revealed that Kathleen Fuquay made contact with a female at the residence whom she was restricted from contacting by her conditions of release. Fuquay was later located and issued a citation for Contempt of Court, and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on September 12 to face the charge.

POSSESSION OF A REGULATED SUBSTANCE

Susan Yeates, 53, of Brattleboro, VT

On August 24, 2017 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Canal Street for a traffic violation. Subsequent investigation revealed that the passenger Susan Yeates had just made a purchase of prescription drugs from a local residence. A search of Yeates revealed that she was in possession of Regulated Drugs without a Prescription. Yeates was charged with Possession of Controlled and Regulated Drugs without a prescription. She is scheduled to appear in court on September 03, 2017 to answer to the charges.

Robert Schauer, 52, of Wilmington, VT

On August 24, 2017 Brattleboro Police responded to an office on Springtree Road for the report of a male driving a vehicle while his license was criminally suspended. With assistance from the State of Vermont Department of Corrections it was determined that Robert Schauer was Operating with a Criminally Suspended License. Schauer was issued a citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 9/12/17 to answer to the charge.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND ROBBERY

Korbyn Bacon, 22, of New Hamshire

On 08/9/17 at approximately 2201 hours The Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Bridge St. for an assault and robbery. Investigation revealed that Korbyn Bacon asked a female to borrow her phone then grabbed onto her purse pulling her to the ground. Bacon ran off into Hinsdale with her purse. The female suffered injuries and was taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where she received treatment for her injuries. Bacon was issued a citation to appear at Windham Superior Court on 09/19/17 to face the charges.

 

 

DRIVING WHILE CRIMINALLY SUSPENDED

James Crocker 35, of Brattleboro

On 8/29/17 Brattleboro Police observed a vehicle driven by James Crocker leaving a residence on Canal Street. Brattleboro Officers made contact with him and he and records check revealed that he was Criminally Suspended.  Crocker was placed under arrest, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Station, where he was cited and released, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 10/03/17 at 0800.
