On May 6, 2015, Detectives with the Brattleboro Police Criminal Investigation Division received a report about possible fraud and forgery. Through the investigation, it was learned that Harold Howe Jr. had taken money and signed over checks to himself that belonged to his father. On September 16, 2016, he was issued a citation to court for false personation.
