Criminal Contempt

Lucy Domina (age 27)

Brattleboro Police responded to a residence in the Town of Brattleboro and determined that Lucy Domina was at the residence. Domina had active Conditions of Release that prohibited her from being at the address. Domina was arrested and lodged at the Brattleboro Police Dept. in lieu of $700.00 bail.

Aggravated Assault, Disorderly Conduct

Brattleboro Police responded to the transportation Center for a report of a fight in progress. Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Jonathan Darling for Aggravated Assault. Evan Morgan and Stephanie DuBois were charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Darling was held in lieu of $25,000.00 bail. Morgan and DuBois were issued citations for court at a later date.

Pedestrian Struck by Motor Vehicle

On 12/23/14 a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle on Canal St. near the Belmont St. intersection. The pedestrian, Richard Ridgway (age 42), was seriously injured and transferred to Dartmouth Hitchcock.

Mark J. Malloy (age 52), operating a 2008 Hyundai Tiburon, was traveling south on Canal St. when he struck Ridgway as he was walking across the street within the crosswalk. Ridgway was reportedly wearing dark clothing and Malloy stated he did not see the pedestrian until his vehicle struck him.

The Brattleboro Police have concluded their investigation and has been forwarded to the Windham County States Attorney's Office for review.

Donald Reetz Age 44 Brattleboro, VT

Brattleboro Police responded to the Overflow Shelter on Main St. for a report of a disorderly male. Upon arrival Police were advised that Donald Reetz was causing a disturbance. It was determined that Reetz had been consuming alcohol, a violation of his Court Ordered Conditions of Release. Reetz was lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department and issued a citation for court at a later date.

Credit Card Fraud

During the investigation of recent thefts from motor vehicles, Brattleboro Police identified another suspect. Police arrested and charged Brattleboro resident Robert Brennan. Brennan was charged with two counts of Credit Card Fraud. Brennan was released with a citation to appear at court on a later date.

Theft/Credit Card Fraud

James Smith/ Arthur Jacobs IV 35/18

Brattleboro Police have been investigating numerous thefts from motor vehicles. The investigation led to James Eric Smith and Arthur Jacobs IV and Crystal Jobe. All three suspects were taken into custody by Brattleboro Police on 11/13/13.

Smith was charged with Unlawful Trespass, Petit Larceny, Unlawful Mischief and Credit Card Fraud. Smith was held in lieu of $5000.00 bail and flash cited for 11/14/13 and given Conditions of Release.

Jacobs was charged with Petit Larceny, Unlawful Mischief and Credit Card Fraud. Jacobs was released with a citation and Conditions of Release.

Jobe was charged with Petit larceny, Unlawful Mischief and Credit Card Fraud. Jobe was released with a citation and Conditions of Release.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending.

Theft/Credit Card Fraud

Michael Santiago 35

Brattleboro Police have been investigating numerous thefts from motor vehicles. The investigation led to Michael Santiago. When police attempted to talk to him and issue him charging paperwork he attempted to flee. Officers caught Santiago and during the struggle he assaulted a Police Officer.

Santiago was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing. Further investigation revealed that Santiago was responsible for several thefts from vehicles, fraudulent use of credit cards, unlawful mischief and violation of conditions of release.

The officer that was assaulted did not require medical attention.

Santiago was held in lieu of $10,000.00 bail.
