Unlawful Trespassing

Brattleboro police were patrolling the area of the Brattleboro Transportation Center on Flat Street, in response to complaints of suspicious and criminal behavior. While there, several subjects were identified that had previously been trespassed from the facility. Milo Fields, Melvin McCall, James Neveu, and Kevin Regan were all arrested for trespassing. All subjects were released on citation to appear in Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division, at a later date.

Trespassing

Forrest Hughes, 23, of Brattleboro, VT

Evan Morgan, 27, of Brattleboro, VT

Brattleboro Police Officers were on foot patrol in the Brattleboro Transportation center due to complaints of criminal activity. Forrest Hughes and Evan Morgan were both observed to be at the BTC in violation of Trespass after Warning notices. Hughes and Morgan were arrested and released on citation to appear in Windham Superior Court, Criminal division, at a later date.

Trespassing

A Brattleboro Police Officer on patrol at the Brattleboro Transportation Center observed Forrest Hughes at the facility, in violation of a Notice Against Trespass. Hughes was arrested for Unlawful Trespass and released on citation to appear in Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.

A Brattleboro Police Officer on foot patrol at the Brattleboro Transportation Center observed Jeremiah Crompton at the facility, in violation of a Notice Against Trespass. Crompton was arrested for Unlawful Trespass and released on citation to appear in Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.

Criminal Contempt

Dylan Brooks, 20, of Brattleboro

Brooks has conditions of release from Windham Superior Court barring him from entering upon the grounds of the Brattleboro Transportation Center (BTC). Police observed Brooks at the BTC and arrested him. He was later released on a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court at a later date.

Arrest on Warrant and Resisting Arrest

Stacy Squiers (Smith), 29, of Brattleboro, VT

On 12/08/14, Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street due to defective equipment and speeding. Investigation determined that the operator, Stacy Squiers (Smith), had an active warrant for her arrest. Squires was arrested on the warrant and also charged with resisting arrest.

False Alarm to Emergency Services

Brian Moffitt, 38, of Brattleboro

On 12/28/2013 Brian Moffitt, 38, of Brattleboro, repeatedly called the police department saying that he had firearms and was going to shoot police officers. He also alleged that he had forced his way into the Brattleboro Retreat.
 
Police were able to locate Moffitt and take him into custody around 2240 hours. It was determined that he did not have any firearms, and did not force his way into the Brattleboro Retreat. He was charged with False Alarm, Resisting Arrest, and Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer. Moffitt was held in the Brattleboro Lockup until sober and released on conditions and a citation to appear in court at a later date.

Disorderly Conduct / Possession of Marijuana

Juvenile

On 11/04/2013 at approximately 1530 hours police witnessed a juvenile blocking a delivery truck from gaining access to the alleyway next to the transportation center on Flat Street. The juvenile was arrested for disorderly conduct, and during the arrest process was found to be in possession of a misdemeanor amount of marijuana.

The juvenile was issued a citation for disorderly conduct, a ticket for possession of marijuana, trespassed from the transportation center, and released to a parent.
