Jonathan McAuliffe 32

On 12/22/2013 Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department learned that Jonathan McAuliffe had violated his court ordered conditions of release.  McAuliffe was issued a citation to appear at court at later date and time to answer to the charge of Criminal Contempt.

DUI/Driving After Suspension of License

Officer Belville

James B. Maynard 59 y/o male from Brattleboro, VT

On 12/21/2013 at approximately 11:49 hours Brattleboro Police responded to the Price Chopper parking lot for a report of a male who was possibly intoxicated and who was in a vehicle.  Further investigation resulted in Maynard being charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Operating After Suspension of License. Maynard was cited to appear in court at a later date to answer to these charges.

Retail Theft

Officer Eaton

Eric Tuepker, 40, of Rutland

On 12/7/13 at approx. 1423 hours, Brattleboro Police responded to Olympia Sports for a reported shoplifter who left the store.  Police located Eric Tuepker matching the description on Putney Road.  Several items were seized from him and he was arrested for Retail theft and Possession of stolen property.

Operating Without Owner's Consent

Scott K. Brow, 36, of Brattleboro

On 12-15-13, Brattleboro Officers responded to the Molly Stark Motel regarding a stolen motor vehicle.  Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Scott K. Brow for Operating Without Owner's Consent.  Brow will appear in court at a later time to face the charge.

Arrest on Warrant

Date of Incident: 12/16/13

Andrea N. Hudson 29 y/o female from Hinsdale, NH

On 12/16/2013 Brattleboro Police took Hudson into custody without incident at the Brattleboro Police Department. Hudson was found to have an active warrant for her arrest, stemming from charges of DUI and Petit Larceny. Hudson was lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department for lack of $500.00 bail.

Retail Theft

Jasmine Brock, age 23

On 12-8-13, Brattleboro Officers responded to Label Shopper on Putney Rd. regarding a shop lifter.  Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Jasmine Brock, 23, for Retail Theft.  Brock will appear in court at a later time to face the charge.

Criminally Suspended License

James Seeger 50 Brattleboro, VT

On 12/10/2013 Officer Cable of the Brattleboro Police Department initiated a motor vehicle stop.  Investigation showed that the operator, James Seeger, 50 of Brattleboro had a criminally suspended license.  Seeger was arrested and released on a citation to appear at Windham Superior Court at a later date and time to answer to the charge of driving with a criminally suspended license.

Disorderly Conduct

Heather L. Cheeney, 30, of Brattleboro

On 12-8-13, Brattleboro Officers responded to Western Ave regarding a disorderly person.  Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Heather L. Cheeney for Disorderly Conduct.  Cheeney will appear in court at a later date to face the charge.

Donald Reetz Age 44 Brattleboro, VT

Brattleboro Police responded to the Overflow Shelter on Main St. for a report of a disorderly male. Upon arrival Police were advised that Donald Reetz was causing a disturbance. It was determined that Reetz had been consuming alcohol, a violation of his Court Ordered Conditions of Release. Reetz was lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department and issued a citation for court at a later date.

On 12-9-13, Brattleboro Officers responded to the Molly Stark Motel regarding a check of compliance with court conditions.  Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Antoine J. Cunningham-Cook for violation of conditions of release.  Cunningham-Cook will appear in court at a later date to face the charge.

On 12/13/2013 Brattleboro Police cited Murray to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge of Criminal Contempt ,after it was found that Murray had violated his court-ordered conditions of release.

Criminally Suspended License

Brian Fletcher 24 Brookline

On 12/4/2013 Officer Cable of the Brattleboro Police Department initiated a motor vehicle stop.  Investigation showed that the operator of the vehicle, Brian Fletecher, 24 of Brookline had been operating the vehicle with a criminally suspended license.  Fletcher was issued a citation to appear at Windham Superior Court at a later date and time to answer to the charge of Driving with a Criminally Suspended License.

Aggravated Sexual Assault

On November 27, 2013 the Brattleboro Police Department received a report of a sexual assault that occurred in the Town of Brattleboro.

Through investigative means Jeffrey Anderson, age 29 of Brattleboro, was arrested on November 29, 2013 and charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault. Anderson was arraigned in Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division, on December 2nd, 2013 and held without bail at Southern State Correctional Facility.

Information gleaned from the investigation identified a second person who is alleged to have participated in the sexual assault. The second person was identified as William Brown, age 29, of Hinsdale, NH.

An arrest warrant was applied for and granted charging Brown with Aggravated Sexual Assault. Brown was believed to be staying in New Hampshire and efforts were made to locate and arrest Brown on the warrant.

During the early morning hours on December 12, 2013, Brown was arrested at a residence on Plain Road in Hinsdale, NH.

Brown's arrest was the result of a collaborative effort by the NH Joint Fugitive Task Force, which consist of members from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Greenfield PD, and Deputy U.S. Marshals; the Vermont Violent Offender Task Force, as well as members of the Brattleboro and Hinsdale Police Departments.

Brown was transported to Cheshire House of Corrections pending his arraignment and extradition back to Vermont to answer to the charges.

Pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle

On December 06, 2013 at approximately 19:06 hours, Emergency services personnel responded to the area of Western Avenue and Union Street for a report of a pedestrian who was struck by a motor vehicle. The vehicle then left the scene.

The pedestrian, identified as Eugene Narrett, age 64, of Maynard, MA, was treated at the scene and subsequently transported to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Petit Larceny

Jonathan R. Bell, 24, of Shrewsbury, VT

On 11/26/13, the Brattleboro Police took a report of a theft from a residence on Marlboro Road.  The suspect was located and identified as Jonathan R. Bell, 24, of Shrewsbury, VT.  After completing the investigation, Bell was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department.  He was released on a citation to appear at the VT Superior

Arrest on Warrant

June M. Bostwick 51 y/o female from Brattleboro, VT

On 12/11/2013 Brattleboro Police arrested Bostwick without incident on Elliot St. for having an active warrant for her arrest, as she failed to appear in court for arraignment.  Bostwick was lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department for lack of $500.00 bail.

On 12-7-13, Brattleboro Officers responded to 9 Canal St. regarding a theft of shoes.  Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Joshua W. Sternberg on 12-10-13 for Petit Larceny.  Sternberg will appear in court at a later date to face the charge.

Disorderly Conduct

The Brattleboro Police responded to 992 Western Ave for a noise complaint.  When police arrived they arrested Daniel Rehm for disorderly conduct.  Rehm was brought to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing then ordered to be held in custody until he was sober.  Once Rehm was sober he was issued a citation to court for a later date and time

On 12/09/2013 Brattleboro Police responded to the Hannaford grocery store for a report of a female who had been detained for shoplifting. Further investigation resulted in Nabozny being cited for Retail Theft. Nabozny will appear in court at a later date to answer to this charge.
