Motor Vehicle Crash

Date of Incident: 11/14/13

Officer Eaton

On 11/14/13 at approximately 1656 hours, Brattleboro Police responded to a three vehicle crash with possible injury on Western Ave at Guilford Street.  One vehicle was located up against the guardrail by the Creamery Bridge, one was in the grassy area by Guilford St and one vehicle was found still in the roadway between the other two.  It was determined that Jill Cobb, 34 of Wilmington, was traveling west bound on Western Ave when she crossed the center line into the east bound lane.  Kayla Harris, 22 of Brattleboro, was traveling east bound when Cobb's vehicle struck the rear driver side of hers.  The force from this crash sent Harris' vehicle into west bound traffic, causing her vehicle to collide with a vehicle being operated by Melissa Page, 27 of Brattleboro, who was following Cobb.

Western Ave was closed for just over an hour.  Two people, to include a passenger in one of the vehicles, were transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Neither speed or alcohol are believed to be factors.  This incident remains under investigation.
