Motor Vehicle Accident involving a Pedestrian

On November 11, 2013 at approximately 08:34 hours, Emergency Services personnel responded to the area of 435 Western Avenue in Brattleboro for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.

Through preliminary investigation it was learned Eric Tuepker, age 40, appeared to have been struck by the side of a flat-bed trailer that was being pulled by a 2003 Ford F250 pickup truck, driven by Ronald Farrington, age 56.

Tuepker was transported to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital by Rescue Inc and then life-flighted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center via DHART to be treated for his injuries.  Tuepker is currently listed in stable condition.

Western Ave. had to be closed for approximately an hour and a half due to the accident.

The accident is still under investigation, however, speed or alcohol do not appear to be a factor.
